Frequently Asked Questions

We are a mobile and Telehealth service, meaning we conveniently come to you. We travel within the Brisbane central areas and you are not charged for travel if you are within 10km of Woolloongabba in any direction. We see clients at home, school, childcare and aged care facilities as well as Telehealth online - wherever works best for you.

Yes Nurture Speech works with plan and self managed NDIS participants, as well as private paying clients. We are not able to accept NDIA managed participants at this time. 

Yes we do. We understand that things happen and appointments may need to be cancelled or rescheduled, but we ask that you provide at least 48 hours notice to avoid cancellation fees.

If you need to cancel your appointment with 18-48 hours notice, you will be charged a fee of $100 if we cannot fill you/your child’s appointment slot. If we can fill the appointment, you will not be charged.

If you cancel your appointment with less than 18 hours notice, you will be charged the full appointment fee, unless in extenuating circumstances. 

We understand that many clients (infants/children and adults alike) require support and therapy for both communication and swallowing or feeding difficulties. In most cases, we can combine both in one session and you won‘t be billed twice. If your swallowing and/or communication difficulties are complex, you may require longer sessions or separate sessions.

Yes we are certified practicing speech pathologists with Speech Pathology Australia. 

We also have current NDIS worker checks and Working With Children Checks and meet the legislation requirements of SPA.
